To Apply | Rabb-Venable Excellent in Ophthalmology Program

Each year, the National Medical Association sponsors the Rabb-Venable Excellence in Ophthalmology Program, which is designed to increase diversity in eye care. The program encourages and fosters interest in ophthalmology among underrepresented minority medical students as well as in those who desire to work in underserved communities. Its offerings include an annual awards scholarship and mentoring, career development, and volunteer opportunities. There are two categories for online abstract submission: medical students and resident/fellows. Applicants must submit an original research abstract on the latest developments in ophthalmology, and they must be the first author on the project. Online abstract submissions are due March 31.
