Ophthalmic practice is a dynamic sport. From surgery to staffing, challenging plays present regularly and, at times, can feel unstoppable. This issue of MillennialEYE is dedicated to highlighting some common areas that challenge surgeons in their early days of practice (and sometimes beyond): surgical autonomy, personal and practice finances, patient satisfaction and reviews, and staffing considerations.
As in athletics, the ability to bring your A game to ophthalmic practice is largely dependent on attitude. At the end of the day, how you treat yourself, your patients, and your colleagues form the foundation upon which superior clinical and surgical skills can build. I hope the insights provided in this issue help you to evaluate and optimize your practice and encourage you to do your best in every endeavor. Geaux Tigers!
